Old Testament

Psalm 24:1-10, The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse.

Psalm 67:1-7, God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. Psalm 75:1, (esv) We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds.

Psalm 92:1-3, It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night, to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre.

Psalm 95:1-6, Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Acts 16:25-26, About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's bonds were unfastened. (prayer and worship change things)

Romans 1:21-23, For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. (They worshipped everything but the real God)

Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (God wants the best for you, but you have to want it)
